PREPARE

Here we provide you with a guide of everything you need to know and prepare before embarking on your trip, as well as a list of the essential items you should bring to make the most of your experience at Eywa Lodge Amazonas.

Book your flights to
and overnight in Iquitos.

The trip from Iquitos to Eywa Lodge Amazonas takes 3 hours. If you arrive in Iquitos later than 2pm, you will have to spend the night there. For the return, make sure you have your flight after 1pm to allow time to get you back to Iquitos. If you have any questions or need accommodation in Iquitos, please contact us.

Medicines and vaccines

Make sure you have everything you need for the Peruvian Amazon area. You can check here.

Internet

There is no cellular signal in the area where we are located. Disconnection is one of the strong points of our experience, but we still have high speed Starlink internet.

Electricity

In the Amazon, electricity is a very limited resource and at Eywa Lodge Amazonas we are committed to nature. We have a solar energy system, but avoid bringing appliances that consume a lot of energy (hairdryers, electric shavers). You will have sockets where you can charge your cell phone or camera.

Food preferences or intolerances

Remember to let us know in advance if you require a vegetarian diet, or have any allergies or intolerances. In the jungle there are no supermarkets, so we need to prepare everything in advance.

Payments at the hotel

We do not accept cash payments, only credit cards.

Tips

All our guides, waiters, and other staff members are paid a fair wage. However, feel free to tip them if you feel it is appropriate. Tipping is a welcome and common practice in the area. Tips should be in cash.

Travel/medical insurance

We always advise you to take out insurance to cover any mishap.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
